Kathryn Frie, a certified adult and geriatric nurse practitioner, has joined the Winona Health staff. In addition to seeing adults in the Internal Medicine Department at Winona Clinic, Kathryn will provide care for residents of area nursing homes.

Kathryn is board certified in Adult and Geriatric Health as an Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber. "I enjoy the challenges involved in my work and applying my experience to improve people's health," said Kathryn. "I'm excited about getting to know the people I'm caring for and becoming part of their healthcare team."

Prior to becoming a certified nurse practitioner and joining Winona Health, Kathryn served as a Resisted Nurse with Gundersen Lutheran in Viroqua and La Crosse, and with University Hospital and Clinics in Madison where she was nominated as a Rising Star during her first year with the hospital. She received her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is a member of the International Nursing Honors Society of Sigma Theta Tau. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Winona State University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude.
